Social Media Netiquette
Mar´a´yeh is a fellowship program for Muslim- and Jewish-identifying artists. We stand for diversity, openness in dialogue and tolerance for all people, regardless of skin color, gender, social or ethnic origin, age, religion or ideology, sexual identity, material situation, disability, impairment or illness.
The comment functions in our social media networks are intended to facilitate respectful and constructive dialog. We therefore reserve the right to report and/or delete comments that violate our association's principles, are discriminatory, inhuman, racist, antisemitic, glorify violence, are sexist, offensive or hurtful, are criminally relevant or violate the Basic Law. Commercial advertising for products or services is not permitted. We reserve the right to delete identical or similar comments that prevent a constructive dialog and attempt to influence the dialog. We may ban an account from our social media channels if someone repeatedly breaks our netiquette.
We are happy to make our decisions transparent. We reserve the right to make changes and additions to the content of this netiquette. Mar´a´yeh is a space for shared learning, critical reflection, and solidarity for Muslim- and Jewish-identifying artists. To ensure respectful and empowering interactions, we ask all visitors of our social media platforms to consider the following when writing comments:
- A good comment relates to the article in question or the topic of discussion.
- Your own opinion should be justified in your comment with clear arguments, especially if you disagree with the article or another user.
- Cynicism and irony are often not clearly recognizable in written comments. So use these stylistic devices carefully to avoid being misunderstood.
- Always maintain a friendly, respectful tone and do not engage in provocations.
