At LABA Berlin, we root our creative process in an unfolding exploration of our individual and collective Jewish identity. Unbound from religion or ideology, we don’t allow the generational tensions to detach us from the stories, ideas, and images we inherit. Instead we let these tensions prompt exploration of the boundaries of the Jewish canon, redrawing them when needed, and propelling our creative process. Based in the heart of Kreuzberg, LABA Berlin empowers Berlin’s Jewish creatives to explore and reclaim their culture, traditions and identity, in all its diverse forms.
